Supported Employment

The Satisfaction of Working

The Supported Employment Program (SEP) is committed to helping and supporting individuals who are managing mental illness or other barriers to employment and have a desire to work (or maintain work) in the community. Prologue’s SEP provides individualized support in employment development, placement, follow-along supports and job coaching for as long as the individual desires the service. The SEP has a “zero exclusion” policy, meaning that the individual will not be excluded from services for legal issues, substance use issues or other barriers to employment.

Prologue provides SEP services based on individual needs and choices. Support staff meet with the individual at times and places that accommodate his/her needs such as in the community, SEP office, work or home. The SEP is focused on empowering individuals to become actively involved in finding, obtaining and keeping a job.

DORS_AnnualReport_2008-1Support is provided in disclosing one’s disability at the discretion of the individual. The SEP provides support through various means, such as individual meetings, benefits counseling and job coaching services. The SEP works in collaboration with the Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS) to secure employment needs such as transportation, work attire, and/or assistive technology.

Prologue’s Supported Employment Program (SEP) is located at 3 Milford Mill Rd. Pikesville, MD 21208. Prologue provides services to individuals from Baltimore and Carroll County as well as Baltimore City. The SEP operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm. For more information contact Nicole Walker at 410-653-6190 x 1216.
